I know it's sad, but at the beginning of each day, I ask myself what's on my agenda and do I need a full face or a half face? If you have no idea what I'm talking about, what I mean by "full face" is full-on eye makeup, and what I mean by "half face" is minimal makeup but still presentable in case someone stops by unexpectedly.
Why don't I wear a full face every day? Well, before I had a child, I did. I had time... ahhh endless amounts of time (and money). However, if I want to get everything in that I want to get in in the morning (a workout and a shower), sometimes cuts need to be made.
Why don't I go au natural? I have issues. Well, I have a hangup from my own personal issues about NEVER being seen without makeup. I feel like I look old, tired, and just haggard. It's not a pretty sight. My skin actually prefers a good layer of foundation... keeps the oil away. But seriously, I'm surprised that my son even recognizes me as mommy when he sees me without a face.
For as unexciting as my life is at this point, full face days are constituted by if I will be leaving the house for any reason: play date, groceries, bank... or even if the UPS guy or Schwanns man are coming - and NO, neither of them are hotties, unfortunately.
Alas, on this cloudy, rainy, dreary Sunday when I have no plans to leave the confines of my house, I have decided that today is a half face day... so don't stop by unexpectedly... you may not even recognize me!
