Definition: A man who acts in a rough or crude manner, is covered in hair, and is unintelligent and aggressive.
Oh, did you think I was talking about your husband? Well, perhaps, inadvertently, but that's the general definition of a caveman. It really just goes to show you that men have not come very far on the evolutionary timeline. Do not other caveman-like traits still linger today as well: scratching, grunting, overall hygiene?
While my husband was out on a work trip last week, he told me that he noticed that someone had drawn a swastika on the bathroom wall (men's bathroom, of course). I asked him if there is frequently "art" on the walls in men's bathrooms, and he said yes. Why is that?
Is the reason that men are still like cavemen and feel the need to leave their mark and tell their story? Are these symbols and scribblings the modern version of a cave painting? After all, it is a small, enclosed, sometimes dark room... very cave-like. (Do you think that men are using those germy pocket knives for those etchings? Point proven - Ha!)
Women's bathrooms, in my experience, are nothing like that. Women don't want a staycation in the bathroom; we get in, we get out, and we get on with our lives. We have too any other more important things to do that etch our life story into the walls of a "cave" (plus, we might break a nail, and what would we use to make such scribblings?).
All I'm saying is that if your husband was replaced by a caveman from the past, would you even notice? "What about communication?" you ask... "Surely, the gap in communication would make the change apparent." Well... not necessarily. My husband doesn't seem to understand what I'm saying (or even hear me) most of the time so what would really be all that different? Think about it.....
