When is there ever too much house? I don't know because I feel like I haven't gotten there, and I cannot comprehend getting there. When a house is too small, there just isn't room for anything: kids' toys, guest bedrooms, storage, you name it. Obviously, if you've reached the level of the house above (the Legendary Beverly Hills House) featured in The Bodyguard and The Godfather, you've got too much house. I mean, what would the average person do with 50,000 square feet, a night club, and well... way too much space? You would need a cell phone to contact the butler! Most of us will never ever have that problem (unfortunately) of wondering what we will do with all of that square footage, but I think there must be a point at which the average person could attain too much house, right? Or is there? Issues with too large of a house:
How do you know when you have finally achieved the right balance of space vs. your own crap? I don't know. I feel like when you move up and into a newer, larger house, at first it seems like there's a lot of room. However, a few years later, you've found some way to fill up all of that extra space that you thought you had an excess of, and you find yourself once again in that same position of feeling like there's never enough space and that you need a larger house. I know we've done that, and I just wonder if we'll ever find balance in a house that is large enough. Do we just need to purge our house of all of the crap that we don't need? Perhaps. I wonder, has anyone out there found a balance in their house vs. crap equilibrium? Don’t miss anything: like my Facebook fan page, and get new entries posted straight to your news feed!
