See that photo - I didn't even have to Photoshop myself - much... just added a little lip color... bye, bye double chins in photographs!
My son isn't even five months old, and I have made quicker progress back to pre-pregnancy size post second baby than I did after my first. Determination, people... sheer determination (and a little bit of starvation). I had been waiting until the numbers told me to try on my old jeans, but today I decided to take the chance to see how bad it was. (There really should have been creepy music as the backdrop to a black and white scene as I approached the pile of dusty size 4 jeans... dum, dum, dum - SCREAM!).
For some reason, even though I've still got a few to lose, they actually "fit" - with only about a 3% overhang of still too-loose belly skin (but that was after I ran three miles and before I ate anything). Not all of my non-forgiving size 4 pants fit 100%, but On top of the fact that it's a beautiful fall day, I'm in a good mood because I have more options to wear as the weather gets colder. And as much as I hate situps, I think I may need to start doing them in combination with my morning cardio in order to tighten up... ARG.
Losing weight after having kids only gets harder after each child and as you progressively get older, and your metabolism changes. My advice for those of you who are trying to lose the weight: dedication, determination, and celebrating the milestones! You can do it too!
