I found this great website (DamnDelicious.net) while looking through Pinterest recipes, and it has a bunch of great-looking Asian recipes I intend to try. This recipe sounded interesting, even though I was a little scared about looking for ingredients that I had never purchased before at my grocery store (I hate trying to find new things at the store - usually means more time at said store). I also thought it amusing that for the Hoisin Sauce, the first ingredient is in fact "hoisin sauce"... anyone else find that funny?
Anyway, my husband has finally gotten over his fear of the words "I'm trying a new recipe tonight", and he has actually started responding with, "That looks good" instead of a terrified and skeptical look aimed directly at me.
The ingredients list for this recipe seems long, but I only had to purchase two additional ingredients because I already had the rest. It only took 15-ish minutes to make the meatballs and not much time at all to make the sauce. Easy, flavorful, and smells really good!
And with every Asian recipe I try, I become one step closer to becoming a "real Asian" (like Pinocchio who wants to be come a real boy)... just kidding! No, you don't have to be Asian to make great Asian food - try it!

For the Hoisin Sauce:
We finishes all the meatballs... my husband, my three-year-old, and me so if there are more in your family, you will need to make more or serve more sides.
