I know, right? Who would ever have guessed that I would be making bread from scratch? Frankly, I shy away from bread recipes when I see yeast as an ingredient because I've never used it in a recipe before. When I saw this recipe on Pinterest (recipe here) for a bread without yeast, I thought I'd try it. No, I'm not Martha Stewart or Ma from Little House on the Prairie, but I do love fresh, homemade bread, and those photos are of my first attempt... they look good, right?
I made this bread YEAST-erday morning (ha - Yeast - get it?!) when I was in full-on baking mode. It turned out great, but it's pretty dense.... probably the whole potato that's in there. I thought the baking time was off by a lot in the original recipe so here's my variation.
